Michael is NatWest Group’s Head of Public Affairs and a member of the bank’s Scotland Board. His background is in politics and journalism. From 1997 – 1999 he was Westminster Correspondent for STV before returning to Scotland in 1999 to cover the opening and establishment of the Scottish Parliament. Michael worked as STV’s Political Correspondent until 2009 and was the station’s main presenters for both political and some non-political programmes. He then moved to the Conservative Party to work for David Cameron as Director of Strategy and Communications in Scotland before joining the bank at the end of 2010. He is married with two children.

At the core of the Oxford University Business Economics Programme is an intensive, one-week development course for the next generation of senior leaders. OUBEP curates an immersive, rich and intense experience for participants. At its core, lies a combination of outstanding teaching with tutoring sessions in smaller groups. Participants are also able to take advantage of networking opportunities around drinks and dinner or whilst taking part in typical Oxford activities.
